Transforming the Produce Supply Chain:
Embracing Sustainability
what's
"Produces"?
The produce industry refers to fresh fruits and vegetables that are not processed and are typically packaged in cardboard boxes. These products are commonly found in supermarkets.
Current
Supply Chain Simplified
We're developing a platform aimed at minimizing post-harvest losses and optimizing logistical operations in agriculture. Our solution fosters improved communication between farmers and major chain customers, offering a more efficient way of doing business.
WHY CHANGE?
Over the years, we have worked with various producers who have faced similar problems. They struggle to trust the current supply chain due to various reasons such as low profits, difficulty in reaching retail, or even worse, not receiving any payment at all. We have witnessed producers who couldn't sustain their business due to these challenges. Having experienced this frustration and worked in most stages of the supply chain, including intermediaries, we strongly believe in this project. We aim to modernize the produce supply chain that has yet to be updated.
Our platform integrates every stage of the supply chain, from packaging to retail, creating a direct connection to guarantee payment to producers. We use a mathematical model to predict prices, maximizing profit for producers while still offering lower prices to retail.
We believe that simplifying the end-to-end supply chain will result in lower retail produce prices. By using predictive models to generate a fair offer, we can provide our customers with a better buying price than the market, by eliminating intermediaries in the traditional supply chain. This, in turn, will maximize profits for producers by providing them with better payment than they currently receive.
Technology allows us to change the way the supply chain currently works. By integrating the different states of the chain we can reduce costs and facilitate planning for our allied companies.
How it Works
We develop an interconnected supply chain ecosystem aimed at optimizing the transportation of harvested crops, thereby reducing costs and enhancing efficiency. Our goal is to promote responsible food consumption and production.
